June’s Most Anticipated Game Releases

We’ve reached the midpoint of 2018, and what an amazing year it’s been for games already! Now with E3 2018 quickly approaching, we’ll get even more insight into games coming out during the second half of 2018 and beyond. But enough about the future! It’s summer time. Time to break out your swimsuits, sunscreen, and your consoles! Here’s what games we’re most looking forward to playing this June!

Vampyr

In Vampyr, you play as Dr. Jonathan Reid, a newly turned Vampyr in 1918’s London. You must balance your doctoral duties with your Vampyr cravings in the ultimate test of the Hippocratic Oath. Will you choose to save the sick inhabitants of London around you or will you hunt your victims, memorizing their every move until the perfect moment to strike all whilst avoiding being hunted by other vampires, and vampire slayers? Your strength and XP in the game are based on how much – or rather who – you drink. If you feast on a number of London’s inhabitants, you’ll build skills faster and will be stronger in combat. If you chose NOT to feed your Vampry cravings, the game will prove even more difficult. What choice will YOU make? Vampyr  is now available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset

Prepare to venture into the realm of the High Elves in Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset! This is the second chapter in the Elder Scrolls Online series. Summerset, home of the High Elves and traditionally closed off to outside lands, has opened it’s gates for the first time in years. And while Summerset appears to be a paradise, darkness lies beneath the shimmering seas and spires. Tons of new quests and a compelling new story now lie before you. Players will be able to craft jewelry, join the Psijjic Order, participate in new trials, and more! After the success of Skyrim in 2011, Elder Scrolls Online launched in 2014 and was the first online multiplayer of the Elder Scrolls series. With this recent expansion to Elder Scrolls Online, fans are wondering when the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls VI  will be announced. If you love the realm of Tamriel and are up for new and spell-binding adventures, then check out Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset. Now available on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Jurassic World Evolution

Ever wanted to create your own Jurassic Park? Well now you can! Enter Jurassic World Evolution, a business simulator that lets YOU build your dream Jurassic Park on Isla Nubar. Throughout the game, players can choose which type of park they want to create: Science, Security, or Entertainment. Each of these divisions is represented by a character who provides you with tasks to help you build the Jurassic Park of your dreams. And it’s not just about the Park itself. It’s essential that you care for your dinosaurs, providing them with the best food, medicine, and habitats to live in. Will you construct an entertaining theme-park that has brought dinosaurs to life for human enjoyment? A research getaway where people can observe dinosaurs in their “natural” habitat? Or perhaps you want to watch the world burn as you release all the dinosaurs from captivity. The choice, and park, is yours. Jurassic World Evolution will be available for the PS4, PC and Xbox One on June 12.

Mario Tennis Aces

The first Mario Sports game to hit the Switch comes out this month! Announced earlier this year in the January Nintendo DirectMario Tennis Aces has been one of the most-anticipated Switch releases of the Summer. In Mario Tennis Aces, players can hit the courts and play against their favorite Mario characters, or go head-to-head against your friends. Players can use the Joy-Cons not only as controllers, but as a tennis racket with the motion controls (harkening back to the days of Wii Sports). Tennis isn’t just about who can hit the ball the hardest-but who can make the smartest shot. Use the court against your opponent, and make enough trick shots to unlock your Special Shot! Mario Tennis Aces not only features a story mode for players to unlock characters and venues, but online tournaments as well! Mario Tennis Aces will be available for the Nintendo Switch on June 22.
