Last night Kevin Hart took to instagram to reveal the first official photo from the new Jumanji movie and well, it’s a thing that is happening.
Take a look at the photo below and tell me this movie is not going to be a full on comedy with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Otherwise, those character names and that outfit Karen Gillan is wearing makes absolutely zero sense. I mean, really, that outfit is quite at home in the original Tomb Raider games, Lara would probably borrow the wardrobe from Gillan. I don’t even want to talk about the amount of mosquito bites and the uncomfortable places they will appear with a get up like that. It’s as practical as boob armor, for the jungle. In case none of that is clear, HER OUTFIT IS NOT OK.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson also took to instagram this morning in a bit of an effort to defend Gillan’s look and he gave us the character names.

“Moose Finbar” (Kevin Hart).
“Ruby Roundhouse” (Karen Gillan. Her jungle wardrobe will make sense when you know the plot. Trust me;).
“Professor Shelly Oberon” (Jack Black).
“Dr. Smolder Bravestone” ’cause well.. he smolders.
As far as I’m concerned that seals the deal. Jumanji is going to be a silly romp through the jungle. All bets are off, it’s either going to be brilliantly funny or a groan inducing nightmare.
