We’re kicking off the second half of the year with a hot month of video games! After a jam-packed E3 2019, we now have a better idea of what releases to look forward to for the rest of the year. This also includes games coming out this July. Here are some of the titles we’re looking forward to playing this month!
They Are Billions
They Are Billions is nowhere near a new game, but that doesn’t mean I am not beyond excited that it is finally making it’s way to the PS4 and Xbox One. This post-apocalyptic real-time strategy game has players building up their bases in order to protect themselves from the impending zombie infestation. They Are Billions has gotten rave reviews on PC and with its steampunk atmosphere, it fills a lot of genres that I really enjoy. Get ready to manage resources, build defense structures and make sure your base survives the next zombie attack. (Julia)
They Are Billions is already available on PC and is now available for the Xbox One and PS4.
Stranger Things 3: The Game
Stranger Things fan rejoice! Stranger Things 3: The Game is the ultimate companion game to the latest season now available on Netflix. We are able to unlock twelve different characters with unique abilities to use against some pretty iconic enemies. If that wasn’t enough to win you over, we will get to experience more of the mysteries Hawkins has to offer. Don’t worry about going this alone though, Stranger Things 3: The Game features a multiplayer mode that lets two people team up to help solve puzzles and take on bigger groups of enemies. (Julia)
Stranger Things 3: The Game is now available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a sandbox RPG from Square Enix and Omega Force. It pulls story elements from the Dragon Quest franchise and combines them with game mechanics reminiscent of Minecraft. And similar to how Dragon Quest Builders was set after Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest Builders 2 takes places after the events of Dragon Quest II. In this game, you are a builder, a group of people who have been outlawed by the Children of Hargon, a cult that seeks revenge after the defeat of Hargon and his demon Malroth. Likewise, you are responsible for rebuilding the structures and aiding people you meet along the way. Only you can bring an end to the Children of Hargon. (Renee)
Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be released on July 12, 2019 for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Who said learning isn’t fun? Prepare to jump into the role of Professor in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In the realm of Fódlan, lie three rival nations: the Adrestian Empire, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and the Leicester Alliance. As Professor, you will align yourself with one of the heirs of these three houses, refine your student’s skills, and build their bonds for the inevitable civil war that lies five years ahead. This title features the strategic battlefield gameplay that is known in the Fire Emblem franchise, in addition to the new element of being able to freely roam the Monastery grounds during your time as a Professor. In the end, will you and your students survive? (Emily)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be available on July 26, 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood
Get ready to grab your Power Suit, it’s time to destroy some Nazis. In the latest installment to the Wolfenstein franchise, you play as Jess and Soph Blazkowicz, B.J’s twin daughters. B.J has gone missing in 1980’s Paris, and it is up to you to find him. This title features single-player AND co-op gameplay! In Co-Op, you and your friend can solve puzzles, revive one another, and unlock special loot crates as Jess and Soph. But that’s not all! Wolfenstein: Youngblood also introduces “Pep Signals”, fun gestures that you and your Sis can send to each other that ultimately boost health, defenses, and more! So prepare to rage against the machine (literally), with your friends this July! (Emily)
Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be available on July 26, 2019 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
