Nazis, blood and Jordan Peele, oh my!

Inspired by true events, the upcoming Amazon Prime Series, Hunters, produced by horror icon Jordan Peele stars Logan Lerman and Al Pacino and follows “a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City.” Things kick off on a very sad note with young Jonah Heidelbaum (Lerman) attending the funeral for his late grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, who was killed in a random robbery.

Jonah receives some comforting words from a man named Meyer Offerman (Pacino) who eventually questions if the robbery was so random. “It sounded like she knew him,” Admits Jonah. “You know what the best revenge is? Revenge.” Revenge against who? So glad you asked. The Goddamn Nazis, of course.

For the rest of the trailer, set to the Talking Heads’ Psycho Killer, viewers get a look at the team known as The Hunters which Offerman created to take justice into their own hands by hunting down former Nazi officials hiding out in New York. The team consists of a lockpicker, a spy, a soldier, a master of disguise, and two weapons experts and whatever the timid Jonah is will become.

The 10 episode Hunters also stars Kate Mulvaney, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Josh Radnor, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Jerrika Hinton, Greg Austin, and Lena Olin.
