For those unaware, Mindhunter is blowing up big. The thriller Netflix series is the next big criminal show for the network and it’s absolutely binge worthy. (I would know, I watched it in a day.) Jonathan Groff, a frequent Broadway star, is the main character in the show. Since he’s a singer, he brought his pipes to the Stephen Colbert on The Late Show.

The interview starts with Colbert asking Groff about his time in Hamilton. The musical is a major pop culture phenomenon and still has people talking. But Colbert finally asks about Mindhunter, seeing if he had ever considered bringing a musical twist to the show. Groff reveals that, he has, and brings them Mindhunter: The Musical. It’s just really funny, really emphasizing hunting minds.

While the song doesn’t really express just how interesting the show is, it just reminds us how great Groff’s voice is. Not to mention hearing Colbert sing is always an absolute treat. Being a fan of the Netflix show, I really hope they don’t ever do a musical episode. But you never know! It’s funny to think of the characters singing while interviewing serial killers. For a taste of what it might entail, the song starts around 6 minutes.
