Still of William Zabka, Martin Kove and Ralph Macchio in Season 3 of Cobra Kai.

Quiet! Johnny Lawrence can now add one more thing to his already badass resume: Netflix aficionado. After he “called up the pawnshop guy,” Johnny learned how to operate Netflix. Thus, we have an earlier release date for Cobra Kai Season Three!

Netflix dropped a short clip announcing the new debut. Johnny (William Zabka) is perusing the Netflix page for Cobra Kai. We see the show’s description as the following: “Johnny Lawrence wins at life and gets all the hot babes and Daniel loses everything. It’s the feel-good story of the year. Zebra rocks!” That sounds entirely accurate and 100 percent factual.

Then, Johnny is discouraged to see the release date for Cobra Kai Season Three is still January 8. Or is it? “Nah, too long,” he mutters as he changes the date to one week earlier. It’s a New Year’s Day miracle! We see the new premiere date emblazoned on the screen in the final shot.

Now, judging by the trailer released a few weeks ago, we know that times are tough for our Cobra Kai crew. Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) is in the hospital in critical condition due to his brawl with Robby (Tanner Buchanan). Robby is going to a detention center as punishment. Daniel (Ralph Macchio) hits rock bottom. John Kreese (Martin Kove) will continue sowing seeds of discord between the various dojos. Two figures from Daniel’s past, Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and Chozen (Yuji Okumoto), will wend their way back into his life. Johnny and Daniel will forge a tenuous truce and team up, which is exactly what the world needs right now.

You can watch the clip featuring the new date announcement below. Cobra Kai stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Courtney HenggelerMary MouserPeyton ListJacob BertrandGianni Decenzo and Martin Kove. Season Three will kick us in the face on Friday, January 1, only on Netflix.
