It’s official! The Baba Yaga will return in 2021 for John Wick Chapter 4. Lionsgate made the announcement via text message.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum opened this past weekend, earning $56 million, knocking off Avengers: Endgame as the #1 movie in the nation. The film has earned $93 million worldwide.
John Wick 3 ended on a cliffhanger that gave the audience hope for another chapter. Of course, that’s up to the studio. Director Chad Stahelski told Entertainment Weekly last week that he and John Wick star Keanu Reeves have “ideas for days.” “It’s a fun world. I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career. We’ll let the audience figure that out.” Looks like the audience has spoken.
There is also a television show in the works with the Starz Network titled The Continental. Stahelski gave an update on that as well. He and Reeves have met with the creative team to outline what makes the John Wick story special. Stahelski and Reeves are also executive producing the Starz series.
John Wick 3 is in theaters and stars Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Aisa Kate Dillon, Anjelica Huston, Laurence Fishburne, Jerome Flynn, Lance Reddick, Mark Dacascos, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Jason Mantzoukas.
