Most films put out character posters. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum has just released 8 character teaser trailers! IGN debuted the exclusive teasers and will be rolling out other goodies later in the week, including a new trailer!
Chapter 3 will pick up where chapter 2 left off. John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is trying to leave New York City after Continental Hotel owner Winston (Ian McShane) excommunicated him from his hotel and gave John one hour to leave town. The High Table put out a 14 million dollar hit on John, so he basically has no one to turn to. Well, no one in NYC.
The new teasers are exclusively available on IGN.com for now. Each teaser is about 10 seconds and features the tag “Everyone is waiting for John Wick.” Return characters include Winston, Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), and the Continental concierge Charon (Lance Reddick).
New characters include Sophia (Halle Berry); The Director (Anjelica Huston), a member of the High Table. IGN reports the Director is a key ally and protector of John; The Adjudicator played by Asia Kate Dillon is another member of the High Table; and Zero (Mark Dacascos), an assassin with a personal vendetta against John. Of course the best video is of Dog, waiting for John to take him home. Awww…
John Wick 3 also stars Jason Mantzoukas, and Robin Lord Taylor. Derek Kolstad wrote the script and Chad Stahelski directed the film.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabelleum arrives in theaters on May 17.
