Tick tock, Mr. Wick, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is almost here! All week the franchise has been releasing loads of goodies for John Wick fans to feast their eyes on. First 8 new character teaser trailers plus we’re promised a brand new full trailer within the next few days! Today IGN released 10 character posters for the film’s major players -old and new alike. They’re stunning, stylish and getting me extra pumped for that full trailer. Let’s take a closer look:
First things first, we have everyone’s favorite bad boy John Wick (Keanu Reeves) himself looking mighty grim. He’s probably just worried about that $14 million hit out on him. No big deal. He’s sitting with his smiley canine companion. Based on the funky pattern of the chair and the intricate windows, I’m guessing this is the lobby of the Continental Hotel that’s being flooded with an oddly pleasant blue light. The ominous ‘Tick Tock, Mr. Wick’ on all the posters probably has something to do with that hour Continental Hotel owner Winston (Ian McShane) gave John to leave town. Because when that hour is up, s**t is gonna hit the fan.
Next we have the the unbelievable, the indescribable Halle Berry making her debut in the John Wick universe as Sofia, an assassin and a close friend of John’s. She appears to be a fellow dog lover as well. Clearly she’s well guarded, looking fierce as hell with her two German Shepherds at each side.

Another newbie to the John Wick universe is the elegant Anjelica Huston as The Director. She’s giving me serious Gothic vibes with that Dracula-like collar and taxidermied creatures in the background. But don’t let that be a turn off for you. IGN reports The Director is a key ally and protector of John. It’s likely that The Director will be one of the first people John turns to in his attempt to get out of this $14 million dollar hit. I mean, if he was smart she would be his first stop.
Then we have the High Table member The Adjudicator (Asia Kate Dillon) standing before my favorite background of all the posters. The colors, the statue in the background, it’s all perfection. The Adjudicator gives off a cheeky vibe with a look that almost dares you to try and screw with her. I may need this poster for my living room.
Next up we have the Tick Tock Man (Jason Mantzoukas). I swear I’m not making these names up. All we know right now is that the Tick Tock Man is an assassin. Again we note the ‘Tick Tock, Mr. Wick’ on the bottom of all the posters. Could be a hint that he’s the one assassin that actually stands a chance against the infamous John Wick?
Even after John broke a very big rule, taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds, hotel owner Winston was cool enough to give John a one-hour grace period before his “Excommunicado” membership is revoked thus banning him from all services and cutting him off from other members. In this poster we see Winston looking content as he enjoys a drink at the bar. That being said, he still checks his watch as though he was worried for John. Aw, bromance!

Looking cool as always is Continental Hotel concierge, Charon (Lance Reddick). Nothing really catches my attention in this poster. But I’m curious if this hit on John will have even Charon joining in on the fun. A John and Charon duel to the death? Hell to the yeah!
Here we have another returning character The Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), an underground crime lord. He’s dramatically sitting in the rain as he caresses a pigeon. Why? Because he’s allowed to have hobbies, that’s why. Again, nothing really catches my eye in this photo. It’s just draws another question of where The Bowery King’s loyalties will lie. John is a cool guy and all but $14 million is a lot of money.
Right now we don’t know much about Zero (Mark Dacascos) besides that he is an assassin with a personal vendetta against John. What could it be? No idea. I’m sure at some point in the movie we’ll get a super cool back story about it though! All we know for sure is that he is looking determined and tough in that jacket. Leather really does look good on anyone.
Our last poster is of an individual known as The Elder (Saïd Taghmaoui). There is very little information on him at the moment but one can only assume that he too is an assassin. However, with a name like The Elder, one can also assume he has a bit more power than the average man.

Here’s the official synopsis for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum: John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
