John Wick

The new John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum trailer has just dropped as we find new details about the High Table and who John (Keanu Reeves) can really trust.

First of all, everyone but The Director (Anjelica Huston), Winston (Ian McShane), and Charon (Lance Riddick) is trying to kill John.  I’ve always thought Winston had a soft spot for John.  John’s mentors and ‘friends’ provide him with a lot of advice, warnings, and guns.

The previous teasers, trailers. and photos made Sophia (Halle Berry) appear to be John’s only friend, but even she takes a shot at him.  Sophia owes John a debt and he calls on her to collect.  She’s not too happy about it though. Watch for Sophia’s dogs. So cute! So dangerous!

The Adjudicator (Asia Kate Dillon) is the representative of the High Table that set things in motion, citing there are rules and John broke them.  She seems pretty confident that justice will be served, but gets a stern warning from Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), saying she’s got a nasty surprise coming. We also meet Zero (Mark Dacascos) who seems more of a John Wick fan than an assassin.

Fans should expect a lot of action and maybe a few twists and turns.  In true John Wick fashion, there will be some unbelievable gunfights and chases.  My only question is, will there still be a High Table when all of it is over?

John Wick 3 also stars Jerome Flynn, Jason Mantzoukas, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Robin Lord Taylor. Derek Kolstad wrote the script and Chad Stahelski directed the film.

Synopsis

John Wick: Chapter 3 – ParabellumJohn Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. Wick uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum arrives in theaters on May 17.
