The family series follows four teens in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct.  The Hollywood Reporter gave this synopsis, “As evil descends on the small town of Brim, four ill-equipped teens facing impossible odds combine their unique skills to become freedom fighters and save their kingdom from ruthless invaders.”  It will be developed by Omnifilm Entertainment, ITV, City, Netflix and The Jim Henson Company.  That’s a lot of cooks.  But, it’s an ambitious project.

Knights of Panterra is written by Sam Ruano (Killjoys, Lost Girl) and Rachel Langer (Ghost Wars).  And, Zach Lipovsky (Mech-X4) will direct.

This is The Jim Henson Company’s second partnership with Netflix in recent TV development news.  They will also be working together on the Dark Crystal prequel series that is currently in production.
