Honestly, I’m surprised a movie about gun lobbying has already been made, I figured this would be too much of a hot button topic and far too divisive. Obviously I have been proven wrong and Europa is taking the gamble that people will want to shell out money to watch this.
Everyone I know has a strong opinion on gun control so it’s an interesting topic to tackle as entertainment. If this movie adds to the conversation and helps get gun control laws going, then I’m all for it.
Miss Sloane is the story of a ruthless lobbyist (Jessica Chastain) who is notorious for her unparalleled talent and her desire to win at all costs, even when it puts her own career at risk. The thriller pulls back the curtain on how Capitol Hill games are played and won as Sloane faces off against the most influential powers in D.C.
Miss Sloane comes to theaters on December 9, 2016.
