Amid multiple delays of it’s release, Star Trek: Discovery has managed to keep adding good news. Deadline reports that Captain Lorca has arrived, and he will be played by Jason Isaacs.
Isaacs is most notably known in the world of geek for his roles as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, Satan in the Castlevania series and The Inquisitor in Star Wars Rebels. He’s cast opposite Sonequa Martin- Green (The Walking Dead) who will play the lead role of Lieutenant Commander Rainsford.

To be honest, I was really hoping for a female captain in this series. I think it would have been awesome to see two women at the helm. A girl can dream. But, if my dreams won’t come true this time, Isaacs is a solid choice in my book.
Other cast members include, James Frain, Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, Sam Vartholomeos, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Obi, Shazad Latif and Mary Chieffo.
Star Trek: Discovery is expected to launch on CBS All Access in the late summer/early fall.
