Since 1955, The Japanese Military has participated in the Sapporo Snow Festival. Considered to be part of their training exercises this year they built an enormous Star Wars sculpture, featuring Darth Vader, The Death Star and Stormtroopers and it is stunning!
They did have permission from LucasFilm to build the enormous sculpture and here are a few photos of the process.

The Sapporo Snow Festival is a week long and one of Japans largest festivals, expected to draw around 2 million visitors!
