Hitman 3

Hitman 3 is the thrilling conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy. In this title, players will take on the role of Agent 47 as he travels to Berlin, Chongqing, Dartmoor, Dubai, Mendoza and Romania for the most important contracts of his life. If you played Hitman and Hitman 2, you’ll be able to import your progress and even previous game maps into Hitman 3. Likewise, players that own a PSVR (like myself) will have the option to take their assassinations to a whole new (virtual) level! If you enjoy stealth games that provide you with creative gameplay choices, we definitely recommend picking up Hitman 3 this month.

Hitman 3 will release on January 20, 2021 for the Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch and PC in the Epic Games Store.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout was a runaway hit of 2019, so it’s no surprise that Koei Tecmo was so eager to get a sequel released a mere year later. Three years after the events of the first game, Ryza is the only member of her group left on Kurken Island and travels to the royal capital of Ashra-am Baird. In AtelierRyza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, players can explore the alchemical ruins surrounding the capital by diving underwater, climbing walls, and traveling between areas using magic ropes. Likewise, combat now uses an improved “real-time tactics” battle system where the timing of character skills and item usage can affect the results. New and longtime fans of Ryza alike are sure to be pleased by this new streamlined addition to the series.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy will release on January 25, 2021 for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The Medium

When it comes to telling narrative-driven horror games, Bloober Team has perfected the process. This is why The Medium is high on my list of must-plays for not only January 2021 but all of 2021. The story follows Marianne, a medium who can travel between the worlds of the living and the dead. Haunted by visions of a child’s murder, she travels to an abandoned hotel to investigate. Players will need to traverse through both worlds to uncover the secrets behind this murder and possibly others. But these visions aren’t the only thing haunting Marianne. The very real (and very terrifying) Maw stalks her through the realm of the dead, in hopes of putting an end to her. If that doesn’t terrify you, just listen to Troy Baker’s flawless portrayal of the terrifying monster!

The Medium will stalk into our homes on January 28, 2021 for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and the Xbox Series X/S.
