So we need to make a correction to our story from yesterday regarding the upcoming Marvel flick, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. Well, the rumor that we reported on at the very least.
Yesterday, we reported on a rumor from the good people over at Schmoes Know that Star-Lord would be prompted into action by the Elders of the Universe and that group would include The Collector (Benecio Del Toro), Elizabeth Debecki’s character — Ayesha, Stallone’s character and Sharon Stone’s character.
Well, today, Guardians director, James Gunn, took to Twitter to squash those rumors, saying, “Where do you guys get this nonsense? Who are all the people giving fake inside scoops to journalists?”

So, apparently, we will NOT be seeing the Elders of the Universe appear in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.2.
But, seriously, Sylvester Stallone as the Champion of the Universe is still pretty great, right?
He has two cats and knows all things about Doctor Strange but little else.
