James Corden is known for hilarious celebrity shenanigans on The Late Late Show with James Corden. But, his latest sketch with The Crown’s Matt Smith is particularly delightful. In Lizzie and the Duke, Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth clean up the mean streets… with dignity… and Terry Crews!
You don’t have to be a fan of The Crown to appreciate this sketch. It’s a classic buddy cop scenario. Phillip works alone, but the chief (Crews, of course) is assigning him a partner… his life partner. The best part is that Corden’s Queen Elizabeth the II is the one that we are used to seeing in the current news and not the Elizabeth from the past, as played by Claire Foy. And, she’s not to be trifled with. Corden’s Elizabeth is bad cop all the way.
So celebrate the coming weekend with some laughs! Experience the majesty.

The Crown is set to come back to Netflix for season three in 2019 with a new cast to play the royals as they age.
