I can’t get enough of J.K. Simmons or espionage in any given show or movie, and now I can get double of both! Excited?!? Me too! The trailer for the upcoming Starz series, Counterpart was released Thursday and Simmons is all over it… twice.
Counterpart looks to be a little bit Fringe and a little bit Taken, with a dash of the Bourne series thrown in. That’s a recipe for excellence. A teaser for the series was released earlier this year that gave us little information and a very big tease. But, the trailer lays the conceit of the show out in a way that is not only informative, but really exciting.
Simmons starts the trailer in a loop. Go to work, punch in your code, door opens, stamp something, repeat. You hear him talk about his dedication to his job over the last 30 years, and then he says “I don’t know what we do here.” And, things start to go wrong… or maybe they’ve been wrong all along!
Check it out.
A UN employee discovers the agency he works for is hiding a gateway to a parallel dimension.
Counterpart‘s 10-episode first season will air on Starz sometime in 2018.
Actor, Improviser, Comic.
I like to like things and talk about them.
I like to pretend.
I like to make things.
I like to write things down.
