It’s going to be a very big week for DC Comics and all us DC dorks clamoring for any bit of news.
Tonight, on the CW, Warner Bros. is putting up two specials, one detailing the Legends of Tomorrow and the other, titled Dawn of the Justice League, will dive more into their plans for the DC Extended Universe, or DCEU. Both of these shows will be hosted by DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and director/king of the geeks, Kevin Smith.
On his Fat Man on Batman podcast, Kevin Smith talked about the Dawn of the Justice League show saying, “They show footage from the Wonder Woman movie that they are shooting right now. Yeah, which includes… I can’t even tell you because they’ll yell at me. But there are shots of Wonder Woman in action doing stuff some sh-t you ain’t never seen before. Then, the whole f–king thing wraps up with the debut of the Suicide Squad trailer. The brand new one, which is AMAZING!”

Well, in full anticipation of the television event tonight, a new image that features the WB’s Justice League roster has been making the rounds. It wasn’t confirmed as legitimate for a while, but then this morning, comicbook.com got confirmation from the WB that it is, indeed, a very real thing!
In the image, you can see Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. But, there’s even more to it than that! We’ve also got Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash! All of them suited up and ready for action.
It should be noted that the image is a little hazy, hiding some of the features of the other heroes in shadows somewhat, but still, you get a good idea of what the full power of this team really looks like!

Hosted by filmmaker/writer/lifelong comics fan Kevin Smith, with special guest DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns, the special showcases the explosive landscape of DC’s greatest heroes, kicking off with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in theatres this March, and with a sneak peek from the upcoming Wonder Woman feature film.
Get a look at never-before-seen footage, and see interviews with such stars as Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, and directors Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins—just a few of the creative forces behind the much-anticipated film franchise that will bring together the greatest collective of Super Heroes in the upcoming Justice League feature film. And because no Super Hero could make his or her mark without a truly formidable foe, the special also provides glimpses of DC’s most famous Super Villains.
