The anticipated It: Chapter 2 cast is starting to come together. Since It, the movie hit theaters last summer, there has been a lot of speculation as to who would portray the adult versions of the Losers Club. Even the child actors had their pick of who they wanted to continue their roles.
The first movie introduced the Loser’s Club as children haunted by a terrifying killer clown. The kids were able to send the shapeshifter back to it’s lair, but if history repeats, Pennywise will return in 27 years. It: Chapter 2 will pick up 27 years later, when the Losers Club return home to Derry to confront the monster once and for all. So who did the kids grow up to be? Check out the cast so far.

Jessica Chastain has been in talks to play the grown up Beverly Marsh since February. Sophia Lillis played the younger version of Beverly and practially hand picked Chastain for the role.

The same can be said about Finn Wolfhard‘s character Richie Tozier. Wolfhard expressed that Bill Hader would be the perfect actor to portray the adult Richie. Hader began talks in April to take over the role.

About the same time James McAvoy was in talks to play Bill Denbrough, the leader of the Losers Club. Jaeden Lieberher played Bill in the first film. If you recall, Bill’s younger brother Georgie was killed by Pennywise in the first film.

On Wednesday, New Line announced the addition of Andy Bean (Here and Now, Power) to play the older Stanley. Wyatt Oleff portrayed Stanley in the first film. Stanley is the most reluctant to have anything to do with the clown.

Ziggy Sobotka will take over the role hypocondriac Eddie Kaspbrak. Young Eddie was played by Jack Dylan Grazer. I wonder if his mom will be holding his hand this time?

And of course there’s Pennywise. Bill Skarsgård returns as the bloodthirsty being that only comes out every 27 years. Pennywise the Dancing Clown is evil’s favorite form.

That leaves casting for Mike Hanlon, originally portrayed by Chosen Jacobs. Mike stayed behind in Derry to keep watch over the town for any signs of Pennywise. Back in September 2017, Chosen said Chadwick Boseman should continue Mike’s story.
And Ben Hanscom, played by Jeremy Ray Taylor. Ben was the new kid on the block who was being picked on by the town bullies. He also knew the town history that helped the Losers Club find Pennywise’s lair. Jeremy told E! News that he wanted Chris Pratt to be adult Ben so he could “be all fit and stuff.”
