What happens when your dad is the most powerful superhero in the world? You take a page from his book! Amazon Prime released the official trailer for the animated adventure Invincible from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead).

In said trailer, we see the origins of young Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun) as he evolves into the hero the world needs. His father, Omni-Man (voiced by J.K. Simmons), attempts to show Mark the superpowered ropes. There’s an immense amount of gore and blood. Plenty of moments wherein Mark unceremoniously crashes into buildings. There’s a scene where Omni-Man tries to tell Mark “the truth” about what’s happening. Perhaps that’s part of the elder’s “dark legacy” to which Mark will undoubtedly be exposed.

We even get to hear some of the other cast including Sandra Oh, who lends her voice to Mark’s mother, Debbie Grayson. Other notable voices from the trailer: Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Sloan/Rex Splode and Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett.
