Blood and Love
It’s hard to believe that the bombshell season 1 finale of AMC’s Interview With the Vampire was two years ago, but those are just facts. But if you’re a fan of the extra-goth and bloody world of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles then your long and moody wait is over. AMC has treated us to a super-sized preview of Season 2 with the release of an extended trailer, offering a captivating glimpse into the dark and immersive world of Rice’s epic tale of blood and romance.
Following the gripping drama of the first season, which enthralled audiences from September to November 2022, Interview With the Vampire moved right into production for its sophomore season. Filming took place in stunning locations including Prague, Paris, and New Orleans. And from the looks of it, the switch to Europe has only leveled up the action and intrigue as Louis continues to unfold his story.

A New Face and a Little Lace
For fans of the books, Season 2 promises to fulfill their greatest undead wish as Louis and Claudia are introduced to The Theatre Des Vampires. Ben Daniels (The Foundation, The Exorcist) joins the cast as Santiago, the leader of the troupe, and returning as series regulars are Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Delainey Hayles as Claudia, Assad Zaman as Armand and Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt. From the looks of it, things are getting fancier and fancier as the vamps make their way through Europe and into the maze of a vampire culture they do not yet understand.
New World Vamps, Old World Intrigue
What lies ahead for our beloved vampires? Season 2 promises to pick up the pace from the blood-soaked finale of the first season, as Louis and Claudia plunge deeper into the dark and seductive world of the Euro-vamps. We’ll see Louis and Armand’s origin story and fateful courtship as well as Claudia’s introduction to the laws of the coven. With the devastating consequences of all of this playing out over a season that promises intrigue, vampire politics, and the metric equivalent of gallons of blood.

A Super Juicy Trailer
