Sometimes your worst self is your best self.
HBO released a new trailer for Season 2 of True Detective and gone are the bayous, swamps and sweat of Louisiana. Instead we have the cracked pavement and contagious depression of freeway-laden Southern California. The trailer looks every bit as intense as the first season. This time around, the anthology show stars Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and wrote all eight episodes of this storyline.
In season 2, a bizarre murder brings together three law enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California. (via HBO) And to make things fun, Nic Pizzolatto says there will again be a “psychosphere ambiance.”
Season 2 of True Detective premieres Sunday, June 21 at 9pm on HBO.
