Star Wars and Independence Day – it’s a mash up we didn’t know we needed. Youtubers Pistol Shrimps, best known for their Rage Comics in Real Life videos, have created a brilliant fan video featuring two of sci-fi’s great films. Captain Steven Hiller and David Levinson are here to save the day the only way they know how – viruses.

The standout feature of Pistol Shrimps videos is their nearly perfect integration with the films. And that’s on full display as we see the Battle of Yavin through the cockpit of the alien ship from Independence Day. Almost as if they took a wrong turn, they end up helping the Rebellion blow up the first Death Star. Just seeing Princess Leia reacting to Steven Hiller is wrong yet oh so hilarious.
