Incredibles 2 has an official trailer. Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) takes center stage as the hero to save all heroes and the future of her family. And, if I’m being honest, it looks… well… incredible.

We knew from the previously released teaser that we’d get Elastigirl kicking butt and taking names while Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) held down the fort at home. And, we knew that Jack Jack was going to be more powerful than… everybody.  But, this new trailer gives us action and comedy and context, and maybe the best button ever at the end!

The trailer starts with a familiar family dinner.  But, the ‘elephant in the room’ is mom’s new job.  And, it’s a big one.  The mission is to change the public perception of supers, and Elastigirl is the one to do it.   So, off she goes to save the world, and Mr. Incredible is stuck dealing with adolescent rebellion, math homework and baby powers at home.  There’s a villain, of course.  He’s entrancing people in some way.  We don’t know who, but I’m going to guess it’s Bob Odenkirk‘s character, somehow.

There are some great flashes of action sequences that include the whole family, including Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson).  And, that brings me to the best moment, and the best cameo of the trailer.  Frozone’s wife can be heard in the distance at the end of the trailer giving Frozone the business, and it is glorious!

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

We’re excited for this Disney-Pixar sequel.  It looks really fun.  Incredibles 2 is set to explode into theaters in 3D on June 15th.
