What are some of great wonders of the world? The Pyramid of Giza, the Great Wall of China, the Boston accent, mayhaps. Hyundai’s Super Bowl ad this year reminds everyone that while New England may not be playing in the Super Bowl, it’s still making it’s presence known.

The ad stars notable Massachusetts actors Chris Evans, Rachel Dratch and John Krasinski as they show off one of the many features of the lovely state – crappy parking jobs. Evans and Dratch remark (or remahk) on the suckers who are trying to fit into the tiny parking spot. Good ol’ Johnny K. pulls up and says he’ll park, whipping out his Smart Key to show off his new Sonata’s grand feature – Smart Park aka Smaht Pahk. It’s a car that can park and unpark itself! Brings a whole new meaning to pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd, right? (I promise you, that was English.)

As a lifetime Mass resident, hearing the Boston accent in media gives me a great joy and a great pain. Yes, there are people here with that accent that makes people scratch their heads. And yes, hearing people attempt said accent and failing terribly is a cringefest. However, it’s all in good fun. While the Patriots may not be playing in the Super Bowl this year, we’re still on the map. Also keep your eyes peeled for another Boston sports legend in the ad.

What do you think of the ad? Do you enjoy cheesy commercials like this or do you cringe so hard you want to curl in on yourself? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more fun.
