As the year comes to an end, the folx over at Hunt A Killer are dropping some exciting news. If you are unfamiliar with the subscription service, let us be the first to introduce you to your next must-play game. Each month, Hunt A Killer ships a box to your house with pieces of an ongoing mystery that needs to be solved. And who is doing the solving? You, of course! Each box is packed with puzzles and clues to solve that will guide you on your journey. Really, it is perfect for any up-and-coming detective or a fun date night.
Hunt A Killer‘s first big announcement is their upcoming subscription box season titled “Renfaire Regicide.” Starting on December 13, 2022, investigators will be called upon to uncover the murder of Hank Maartens, the King of a local renaissance festival. Players will use realistic clues provided to help the King’s young squire solve the real mystery of his King’s death. Along with the new mystery, the current season, “Murder On Ice,” will be availble as a complete box set for those who want to dive into that mystery. Next, Hunt A Killer shared their original short film SOTO. Directed, written and produced by Dayna Noffke, it focuses on Agoraphobia and the fear of being outside. Viewers will discover what happens when a woman, riddled with this challenging fear, receives a strange package from The Original Mystery Jigsaw Company. You can watch SOTO on Hunt A Killer‘s website for free! They also have a series of shorts called Daily Unexplained Mysteries on their TikTok and YouTube. It provides viewers with strange and interesting facts from true-life mysteries for us investigators to ponder.
Our favorite announcement from Hunt A Killer is their Month of Mystery, which will kick off on November 25, 2022. It is 30 days, 30 deals and 30 moments of mystery. During the event, they will reveal the brand new free mystery, “The Larksburg Librarian,” which will be released exclusively online in daily increments. The short story was written by Director of Development Adam Mueller, and investigators will uncover who killed the mayor of Larksburg, PA.
