Runaways returns in a few weeks. Hulu just released a new trailer and poster for the second season of the Marvel drama. In the trailer, the kids decide it’s time to take the fight to their parents aka Pride. That means testing their powers to explore everything they are capable of. And the parents…well, they just want to bring the kids home.
RELATED: The RUNAWAYS Are Going to Fix the World in New Season 2 Trailer
In season one, the group of Pride offspring discover that their parents belong to a cult and are sacrificing young runaways to appease their god. Well, that sort of what is happening. They aren’t worshiping a god, but they are feeding the young to a…super being? Sure. In their parents defense, because the kids never ask… the parents have made deals with the super being that has given the ability to live comfortably and be successful in life.

The kids don’t like what their parents are doing and decide to leave together…with a dinosaur. In the mix of all of that teen angst, a couple of the kids discover that they have super powers and a few of them fall in love with each other. You know, the usual teen drama stuff.
In season 2, they will test their power limits and try to fix the things their parents have messed up. The trailer shows them practicing, and facing their parents head on. The Runaways must find a way to trust each other, stop keeping secrets, and find the truth of what really happening before facing their parents for a final battle.
From what I can tell, it’s going to be an action packed season. There will be some tested friendships on both sides. And what would happen if one of the Runaways actually asked their parents what is going on? Would the parents tell them the truth? That remains to be seen. You can check out the trailer below.
