Elizabeth Hurley is joining the Marvel Universe and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her portraying one of the most enchanting Marvel characters, – Jeph Loeb, Runways executive producer and head of Marvel Television.
Morgan le Fay is based on the same Morgan le Fay of the King Arthur books. She first appeared in Marvel comics in 1955 wielding magical powers.
Hurley’s character is described as a student of Merlin and a great sorceress. She has the “ability to enchant objects, manipulate mystic energy and astral project”. She also has a black crow as a familiar. Considering her great power, I have to assume she will have ties to Nico’s (Lyrica Okano) Staff of One. I wonder if her sorcery is from the Dark Dimension. Runaways has already hinted on the subject matter from Doctor Strange. Either way, I think the kids may be out of the league with this one.
Runaways is based on the Marvel comics of the same name. The story follows a group of teenagers who find out their parents are evil. Season one introduces viewers to the teens and their parents. And in season two, the teens actually run away. Some of the kids have superpowers and they are just learning how to use them.
Marvel’s Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano,Virginia Gardner,Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta as the runaways. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage serve as writers and show runners.
You can stream the first two seasons of Marvel’s Runaways on Hulu. There is currently no release date for Runaways season 3.
