It’s a beautiful cinematic reunion we won’t soon forget. Ryan Reynolds revealed exciting news this week, which tells of a specific clawed individual returning to the Marvel sphere in Deadpool 3. It’s none other than Hugh Jackman as Wolverine!

Reynolds shared a promotional clip for the upcoming threequel on his social media, apologizing for not appearing at this month’s D23 festivities. He and his crew have been hard at work creating the next installment in our fave merc with a mouth’s series.

Reynolds goes on about mining the depths of his soul to craft the perfect project for his character’s MCU debut. It needs to be memorable and in line with Wade Wilson as a person. The clip showcases a series of shots featuring Reynolds embarking on soul-searching adventures.

“I have nothing,” Reynolds concludes after the montage. That’s when Jackman walks into frame behind Reynolds while brushing his teeth. “Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks him. “Yeah, sure, Ryan,” Jackman replies nonchalantly while ascending a staircase.

Then, we hear a version of Whitney Houston’s cover of “I Will Always Love You,” with “you” changed to “Hugh.” The Deadpool logo appears with three claw marks rent through it.

Deadpool 3 boasts a script penned by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and co-written by Reynolds. Shawn Levy is at the helm.
