“There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin…”
“…and no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”
Folks, CCXP 2023 is the gift that keeps on giving. On Saturday, HBO unveiled the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of House of the Dragon. The teaser pulled back the curtain on the Dance of the Dragons, which officially commenced in the Season 1 finale after Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) inadvertently killed Lucerys Velaryon (Elliot Grihault), Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (Emma D’Arcy) youngest son. This occurred after Rhaenyra was crowned queen on Dragonstone.
The Game of Thrones prequel series, based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, made another significant move in the penultimate outing of Season 1 when Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and her father, Otto (Rhys Ifans), moved to crown Aegon Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) as the new king after Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) died in episode eight.
