Honbarian WEBTOON Canvas Series

Honbarian WEBTOON Canvas Series

We have got ourselves another WEBTOON Canvas week! Kicking it off is Olive Coat‘s Honbarian. After Andy is driven out of her home by invaders from across the sea, she finds herself lost with no memories of her life. The only key she has is a literal old key bearing the symbol of the White Rose of the Countess of Helmsberg. While on her way there, she is found hiding in the Flinder’s orchard. The longer she spends with the family, the more she questions her past and if she is actually the enemy.

I have always been a fan of historical stories, whether they be romance, mystery, thriller or fantasy. There is just something about slipping away into a different time that feels like a cozy blanket. And these last few week’s Honbarian has been precisely that. The mystery behind Andy’s past has intrigued me from the very beginning and the overall feel of the story reminds me so much of Anastasia. It’s hard not to fall in love with this delightful cast of characters.

Honbarian updates every Wednesday and can be read here!

The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit

The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit WEBTOON Canvas Series

The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit WEBTOON Canvas Series

Our second WEBTOON Canvas The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit from Helen Greetman is an adaptation of Charles DickensA Christmas Carol and The Haunted Man & the Ghost’s Bargain. Tiny Tim isn’t so tiny anymore and a decade after the events of A Christmas Carol, he is struggling to keep up with the optimistic soul he once was. It almost seems like the adult world’s problems are piling up on our poor boy. Will an intervention from supernatural entities help him find what he is missing?

The holidays are here (whether you like it or not) and what could be better than a holiday tale? The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit meets my historical love and brings that holiday spirit. Similar to A Christmas Carol, it isn’t all joy and happiness. As each chapter moves forward, we watch as Tim struggles and finds a way to help those around him and regain his holiday cheer. It’s a perfect story for this time of year. I suggest grabbing a warm blanket, a hot drink of your choice and diving right on in.
