Black Mirror creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones are well aware that this year is the pits. So much so that, according to TVLine, they’re curating a comedy special to officially send this year off in style. Death to 2020 will soon take Netflix by storm!
In a year that even Brooker and Jones couldn’t create, Death to 2020 will be a comedic bon voyage to the “year you really, really don’t want to remember.” As reported by TVLine, Death to 2020 will tell “the story of the dreadful year that was — and perhaps still is?” via a documentary-style special that intersplices “some of the world’s most (fictitious) renowned voices.” Additionally, there will be real-life footage from the past 12 months in said special.

Now, Death to 2020 boasts a legendary cast. Samuel L. Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, Kumail Nanjiani, Hugh Grant, Tracey Ullman, Samson Kayo, Leslie Jones, Diane Morgan, Cristin Milioti, Joe Keery and more will join the fray.

Brace yourselves for “the cathartic comedy event you’ll never forget about the year you really, really don’t want to remember.” With a cast like this and the Black Mirror creators at the helm, I’ve no doubt this special will be therapeutic. Laughter is the best medicine, after all.
