Justice League is going through an interesting bout of reshoots. Variety reports that with the reshoots going over their scheduled time, due to the unfortunate exit of director Zack Snyder, it’s causing pains for the actors. And while it’s mostly scheduling issues, one actor is causing CGI work.
Henry Cavill has become a leading man in Hollywood, making him an in-demand performer. His next big work includes a role in Mission Impossible 6. A role, in which, he grew a mustache for. You see where this is going, don’t you? According to Variety, the production will have to digitally remove his mustache from his performance in the reshoots.
“Justice League’s” Man of Steel had expected to be able to finish shooting the sixth “Mission: Impossible” film before needing to don Superman’s spandex again. That has not been the case, however, as the new scenes that are being shot have required him to jump back and forth from each production. Because of this, a mustache he grew for his character in the “Mission: Impossible” sequel will have to be digitally removed in post-production. Paramount, which is distributing the “Mission: Impossible” sequel, would not allow Cavill to shave the facial hair while production was taking place.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a mustache? A mustachioed Superman would make for not only hilarious imagery, but think of it. He’s “dead” and the Justice League are on their last leg, struggling to survive. And then Superman shows up, alive and well and… with a mustache. While it’s not his legendary mullet, a mustache would be a hilarious substitute.
Luckily for us, we don’t have to think hard about the imagery, thanks to YouTuber David Johns He so very kindly put together a video where we see a mustache-donning Superman from Batman v Superman. It’s brilliant. Not only that, but someone else gets in on the mustache fun. Check it out below!
What do you think of the news? Would you rather Superman come back with a mullet? …you want the mullet instead, don’t you? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Justice League news!
