We just can’t get enough of The Witcher. From the memorable characters, the funny dialogue and those killer monsters. We just want to know more. Thankfully, we got a little more insight. Earlier today, Netflix released a brand new featurette where Geralt himself (Henry Cavill) breaks down one of the most memorable fight scenes in the entire first season, the Blaviken fight.

The “shot for shot” breakdown features little tidbits such as how shots were created (and who they were created by), how certain scenes didn’t feature a sword at all, and so on. One of the more fascinating things that we learned from this is that the opening fight scene was all shot in one take. That can be incredibly tiresome after so many takes but honestly? The result is worth it. It’s such an engaging scene.

You can check out everything Cavill says below but if anything, it’s worth watching that fight scene again. It really cements the nickname Geralt earns from the brutal scene – The Butcher of Blaviken.

What do you think about the scene? Are you looking forward to more scenes like this or was the show just mildly entertaining? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more of The Witcher news and coverage.
