On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, Netflix released a new trailer for Heartstopper Season 2. Based on the graphic novel series by Alice Oseman, originally published as a webcomic, the release of the highly-anticipated second season of the Netflix adaptation is just around the corner.
Heartstopper Season 2
As seen in the trailer, Heartstopper Season 2 will see the further development of the romance between Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke). Complicating the issue is the matter of Nick’s coming out. However, the trailer makes it clear that Nick and Charlie’s concerns over their burgeoning relationship will not be the only drama unfolding in Hearstopper Season 2. Many members of the Heartstopper crew have complicated issues they must deal with.

Appearing alongside Connor and Locke in the eight-episode season will be the vast supporting cast. This includes Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Fisayo Akinade, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser and Cormac Hyde-Corrin. Also returning for Heartstopper Season 2 are Olivia Colman and Stephen Fry. Finally, new additions to the cast include Leila Khan, Jack Barton, Bradley Riches and Nima Taleghani.
This isn’t the end of Nick and Charlie’s story. After Hearstopper Season 2 arrives next month, the Netflix series will conclude with the forthcoming third and final season. Furthermore, Heartstopper Volume Five will be published on November 9, 2023, in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Shortly after that, it’s scheduled to publish via Scholastic in the United States on December 19, 2023.
