We are just a little over a month away from the premiere episode of the final season of Game of Thrones.  Entertainment Weekly has released the first character portraits to prepare fans for an epic season. Each portrait gives a short description of the character’s journey going into the season.

There has been a lot of secrecy surrounding the final season.  It’s not clear who is in the forefront of taking the Iron Throne. It’s not even clear about who will live and who will die.  The only thing we know going into the final season is that there will be a major battle to end it all.

Take a look at the character portraits with a brief description of where their characters are at the beginning of season 8.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on Sunday, April 14, 2019.
