It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Hawkeye trailer is finally here, and we’re ready to break it down for you! Spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame and Black Widow.

The last time we saw Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), a.k.a. Hawkeye, was in Avengers: Endgame, where, after losing his family to Thanos’ snap, he went on a grief-fueled killing spree as Ronin, taking out criminals around the world.

Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) brought him back into the fold. He helped stop Thanos and was reunited with his family. In the Black Widow post-credits scene, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) hands Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) a photo of Hawkeye and tells her to take him out.

On to the trailer! It opens with shots of New York City at Christmas; the Barton family is celebrating together for the first time in years. Clint promises to make everything up to his family.

However, this might be tricky with reports that Ronin is back. Clint’s past has caught up with him, but he promises that he’ll be home for Christmas. It’s safe to assume this promise will be hard to keep.

Clint meets Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in an alley when she’s beating up some mobsters. She instantly recognizes Hawkeye and claims that people call her “The World’s Greatest Archer.” The rest of the trailer features plenty of arrow-related hijinks, Clint tossing a Molotov cocktail back and forth with mobsters and lots of bandages and ice packs reminiscent of Matt Fractions incredible Hawkeye comics run.

Eagled-eyed (Hawk-eyed?) viewers will also notice a Broadway performance of Rogers the Musical, Clint’s hearing aids and everyone’s most anticipated MCU appearance: Lucky the Pizza Dog.

Hawkeye premieres on Disney Plus on November 24! Watch the trailer for yourself, and keep an eye on this space for any more news that comes our way.
