Marvel and Disney Plus dropped the official poster for the upcoming series following our favorite archer with fun arrows – Hawkeye. While the previous one features a more festive feel, the new one is exactly what I would expect from an MCU poster. Now of course, this one is still festive, but it feels much more action-filled. This will be the fifth Marvel series to grace Disney Plus this year, following WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…?.
Hawkeye is an original new series that takes place post-blip in New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) is doing all the post-Christmas events like musicals, shopping and seeing the sights. That is until someone from his past pops up and starts sidetracking his holiday vacation. Barton reluctantly teams up with his number one fan Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). But she is more than just a fan. This 22-year-old is a skilled archer with her own set of tricks. Now the two of them must unravel a criminal conspiracy in record time so Barton can enjoy Christmas with his family.
The new poster for Hawkeye heavily resembles the cover of Matt Fraction and David Aja‘s 2015 comic run. Right down to the arrow, set center stage. It features Barton and Bishop bows drawn and ready for action alongside Pizza Dog, who is all decked out in his Christmas hat. Hawkeye features Renner, Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox. The series is being helmed by Rhys Thomas.
Hawkeye will stream exclusively on Disney Plus starting November 24, 2021, with the first two episodes. Check out the new poster below. What do you think of this art? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
