He’s back! On Wednesday, we learned HBO Max granted a series order to Noonan’s (wt), a Harley Quinn spinoff starring Kite Man. The 10-episode DC animated series will be adult-oriented, in the same vein as its mother show. Matt Oberg voices Kite Man on Harley Quinn and will reprise his role for the spinoff.
Here’s the logline for Noonan’s per Warner Media:
“Lovable loser Kite Man and his new squeeze Golden Glider moonlight as criminals to support their foolish purchase of Noonan’s, Gotham’s seediest dive bar, where everybody knows your name, but not necessarily your secret identity!”

Executive producing Noonan’s is Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Kaley Cuoco, Sam Register and Dean Lorey, with Lorey serving as the showrunner.
Cuoco, who voices the titular Harley Quinn on the wildly popular animated series, will return for Harley Quinn when the long-awaited third season debuts this summer. Harley Quinn also stars Lake Bell and Alan Tudyk.
Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Warner Bros. Animation, had this to say regarding the series order:
“Harley Quinn unlocked a world of hilarious possibilities with the iconic superheroes and supervillains of the DC Universe. Exploring this world further with our partners at HBO Max and DC is going to be a lot of fun. Plus, after getting dumped by Poison Ivy, the least we could do was give Kite Man his own show.”
I adore Harley Quinn, and Kite Man’s supporting role makes it all the funnier. It looks like we’re getting a Kite-Man-meets-Cheers-type series with Noonan’s, and that excites me to no end. It’s such a unique and unexpected combination that’ll undoubtedly yield DC magic.
