I am not a mother myself, but many of my friends are, as are two of my sisters and when I watched this trailer, I was filled with joy.
I can only imagine, from my sister’s stories, and antidotes I hear from friends, that this is a wonderful fantasy many would love to live out!
Bad Moms is written and direct by the guys that wrote The Hangover, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Annie Mumalo, Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Here is the synopsis:
In this new comedy from the writers of The Hangover, Amy has a seemingly perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
I did something that I try not to, because it alway seem futile, I read the comments below the trailer….As someone looking in from the outside, it’s ok to be exhausted and to want to let loose. It’s not immoral to fantasize about being a “Bad Mom” and it’s not something you should ever feel shame for thinking or wanting.
So find a babysitter, enjoy the movie and sneak in a couple of drinks!
