Tao Okamoto (Wolverine, Batman v Superman) has been cast in the upcoming season of Hannibal. Okamoto will be playing Lady Murasaki. According to Deadline, Lady Murasaki is “dark and mysterious” and “possesses an alluring and classical beauty with a dark secret.”
Lady Murasaki is a character from Hannibal Rising, a novel that is a prequel book by Thomas Harris. In this book, Murasaki is Hannibal’s Japanese aunt. It’s pretty obvious that Okamoto is a young woman so will she be Hannibal’s aunt in flashbacks? Or will she be rewritten to suit the actress’ age. Also, will Hannibal’s aunt be an ally or a meal?
