You won’t want to throw away your shot once you see these beauties! Entertainment Weekly blessed us with an exclusive first-look at Funko Pop‘s upcoming line of Hamilton figurines.
Now, you can own a Funko Pop of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, Eliza Schuyler, Angelica Schuyler and Peggy Schuyler. Perform your own version of “The Schuyler Sisters” and work!
Hamilton made its debut on January 20, 2015, at The Public Theater in New York City. Its music, book and lyrics are by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also starred as Alexander Hamilton in the original Broadway production. Miranda was inspired to create a musical after reading Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow in 2004. He cast all non-white actors as historical figures and the Founding Fathers to convey the story of “America then, as told by America now.” It took the theater world by storm. In July 2020, a filmed performance with the original cast premiered on Disney Plus.
Leslie Odom Jr. initially portrayed Hamilton’s nemesis, Aaron Burr, while Christopher Jackson played George Washington. Phillipa Soo was the original Eliza Schuyler, Renée Elise Goldsberry portrayed Angelica Schuyler and Jasmine Cephas Jones played Peggy Schuyler.
As for the Pops, you have two options: you can snag yourself a regular-sized figurine for $10.99 or a mini key chain for $4.99. The Schuyler sisters are boasting their standard pink, green and yellow dresses. Aaron Burr is donning his burgundy coat. George Washington is dressed to the nines in his Revolutionary War gear. There are two versions of A. Ham — you can get a Pop with his famous orange-red jacket or his blue officer’s coat.
