Guardians of the Galaxy is like an underdog story. A concept so weird for film that it was doomed to fail with it’s talking raccoon and tree. But it worked! It was incredibly funny and worked really well with the love and care director James Gunn gave it. Fans were immediately attached to these characters, so it’s a joy to hear that their third story is one step closer to coming to the big screen.

Gunn shared a picture of the title of the script on Twitter, revealing that his first draft was finished. He captioned the photo with “every bit of my heart” and we definitely believe that. As a bonus, one fan had asked when he made his music selections and he revealed that he puts his music selections into his scripts. The more you know, right? It just goes to show that he puts a lot of effort into carefully selecting these songs to be used to also tell the character’s stories.

With the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s hard to imagine the misfit family coming back into fun times. But since these films have a lot of heart and a lot of laughs, we’re sure that Gunn balanced the two out well. He’s proved that with his two other Guardians films! How big will their threat be this time? It’s unknown. Though geek idol Mark Hamill has been in casual talks, as neighbors, with Gunn about a role in the film. We’re very much looking forward to that!

I think the biggest question going into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is – will Groot be an adult again? Yes, yes, I’m still thinking about that. In Infinity War, Groot is a rebellious teenager and he may be like that for some time (so long as he comes back). Unless they do a time jump between the Avengers films, we may have a lot more sassy Groot with his video games. We also have the ability to finally explore Peter and Gamora’s relationship as a couple. …So long as she comes back. But we’re very much looking forward to this entry in the MCU!
