Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 isn’t out until May of 2017 but we’re already hooked. Marvel released a new teaser trailer for the film showing our favorite space superheroes in action again. It already guarantees laughs and fun as the crew get into battles and mischief. The new film will be set 2 months after the original film as the crew travel the cosmos. They may be struggling to stay together but they’ll be helping Peter Quill aka Star-Lord find out his true parentage.
The first movie was a massive success for Marvel, taking in 232 million gross for the film. There was uncertainty about whether or not it would be a success due to the “strange” cast of characters. A talking raccoon and tree? But the humor, the fun of the film and the solid story got people in the seats. Which prompted Marvel to schedule a sequel much faster and higher up in the slate than before.
Arguably, the run away star of the previous film was Groot, the talking tree with a loving heart. Here, it seems Groot is still a baby. And he enjoys giving Rocket a hard time. Also Drax still lacks in communication etiquette, to our delight.
