James Gunn revealed the official title for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel today via his Facebook.

Kevin Feige accidentally let it slip at some Ant-Man press events over the weekend and apparently gave the go-ahead to Gunn to make the announcement. It appears to be a reference to the incredibly successful Awesome Mix Tap, Vol. 1 from the first movie. Apparently, having a new mix of music from the mid-70’s and early 80’s inspires Peter Quill to get back out there for some more awesome adventures.
Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 is currently scheduled for release in May of 2017.
