GOTHAM’s Fifth and Final Season Cut Down to 10 Episodes

That’s right fans of Gotham, this is somewhat unforutunate news. Thanks to comicbook.com, we heard that the fifth and final season won’t have as many episodes as the previous seasons – not even half. After getting the renewal notice and a note of less episodes, some assumed it would be a half season of 13 episodes. Sadly, this is not true.

In a live stream on Instagram, star Camren Bicondova was asked about the popular Batman prequel show and the upcoming season. She stated that the show would only be airing 10 more episodes. She also believed it would be airing in January of 2019. That’s a long, long way to way for the final episodes. It’s unclear whether the show will be even longer to fit in everything they want or will continue their 50 minute runtime.

This is surprising news because they don’t even get half of the regular 22 episode season. How will they wrap up all their story arcs in only 10 episodes? It’s crazy! They won’t even reach syndication, being shy of only 2 episodes. You’ll have to tell us what you think! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Gotham news. The final season may air in 2019.
