Poison Ivy

The third season of Fox’s hit DC Comics series, Gotham, which sees the origin story of Bruce Wayne into Batman along with all of the villains he’ll eventually fight, premiered this week. We saw ex-cop Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) working as a heart-broken bounty hunter, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) starting a war with Fish Mooney and we saw young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) taking on the Executive Board of Wayne Corp as well as the Court of Owls.

Along with all of that, we saw Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) leading her gang of Indian Hill monster escapees, wreaking havoc throughout the city in the search for a particular drug to help her cope with using her new found powers of mind control. Apparently, she makes herself sick whenever she uses her powers. One of these monsters had the ability to age whomever they touched super fast. Typically, he would kill them, but in one particular instance, with Selena Kyle’s best friend, Ivy Pepper, played by Clare Foley, she got away before he could kill her.

But he did grab her arm and it did age her. But the touch was very brief, so she only aged about five to six years so now, the fifteen-year old Ivy Pepper has aged to about twenty years old. While we didn’t see any of this actually happen in the episode, we do have this fun little sneak peek introducing us to the older Ivy Pepper, played by Maggie Geha, who will now be able to more fully inhabit the more seductive aspects of the villain that becomes Poison Ivy.
