Gotham’s season 4 wrap up was fast paced, yet not as much of a cliffhanger as it was hyped to be.
Starting where last week ended, Selina (Camren Bicondova) is being rushed into surgery. Bruce (David Mazouz) promises to be there for her. Jeremiah (Cameron Monaghan) is in custody. He demands to see Bruce. Tells Gordon (Ben McKenzie) that there are more bombs. Gordon refuses to lift the evacuation order until all the bombs are secure. The mayor is readying to go against him, when Ra’s al Ghul (Alexander Siddig) blows up the building.
The National Guard arrives and tries to take over the GCPD. Gordon refuses to let them call in Bruce to talk to Jeremiah. The National Guard arrests Gordon. They are attacked by Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), who kidnaps Gordon.
Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) has found Hugo Strange (BD Wong). They are in the process of restoring Butch (Drew Powell), when Tabitha (Jessica Lucas) gets the call that Selina was shot. She’s goes off to kill Jeremiah. Ra’s goes to Barbara (Erin Richards). He tells her about the vision of Gotham burning and that he intends to see it happen. He invites her to leave the city with him. He admits that his powers are a bit diminished and that she might still have a bit of the Demon’s Head.
Gordon wakes up to find himself strapped to a table. Riddler is going to kill him so Lee will be free of him. Lee (Morena Baccarin) comes in and stops him. She tells Riddler that she is leaving Gotham and wants him to come but will rescind the offer if he kills Gordon. As Gordon Is leaving, she gives him one final farewell.
Bullock (Donal Logue) is still arguing with the National Guard, when they drag Bruce and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) in. Bruce goes in to ask Jeremiah where the rest of the bombs are. Jeremiah just wants to talk about Bruce. He tells Bruce that someone opened his eyes to what’s really going on. As Bruce realizes that Jeremiah is in league with Ra’s, the lights go out and they both disappear.

Tabitha, Barbara, Alfred, and Penguin all team up to go after Ra’s and Jeremiah.
Gordon gets back to the GCPD. They figure out that the bridges are being targeted. When he orders them to be cleared, the National Guard tries to stop him. The Gotham police mutiny against Guard.
Ra’s is in the process of telling Bruce that his destiny is to become the dark knight. Jeremiah believes that Bruce will be his new brother. The cavalry arrives, and a fight ensues. Barbara has reforged the knife that will kill Ra’s. She grabs Bruce’s hands and uses them to kill him. Penguin saves Tabitha from being killed by Jeremiah. Even though Ra’s is dead, and Jeremiah is defeated, the bridges still blow up.
Lee tells Riddler that she won’t leave when people need her help. She stabs him, he pulls out the knife and stabs her with it. It looks like they are goners, but we later see them in the hands of Hugo Strange.
Tabitha checks on Butch and finds him restored. Penguin arrives and shoots Butch. He explains that he set it all up as revenge for Tabitha’s part in killing his mother. He shoots Tabitha and tells her that he’s going to take his time in killing her.
Selina made it through surgery but will liking have some spinal damage. They are getting her onto a boat, to get her out of Gotham. Bruce won’t go. He says that he is going to help the city, even if it means fulfilling Ra’s twisted prophecy. Alfred goes with Selina but promises to return.
The government completely abandons Gotham, but Gordon, Bullock, and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) decide to stay. We see flashes of different villains starting to take over. Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Scarecrow, Penguin, and the Sirens all grab a piece.
Gordon lights a search light on the roof of the GCPD as a sign to the criminals, that the police are still there. The light attracts Bruce. He reminds Gordon of the night that his parents were killed. Gordon had told him that, even when things seem dark, there is always light.
