DC fans, we’ve got more content coming our way! As reported by Deadline, a Gotham Knights series is in development for The CW with Natalie AbramsJames Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash at the helm as writers.

Based on characters created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Gotham Knights explores what transpires after Bruce Wayne’s murder. Wayne’s adopted son allies himself unexpectedly with the kids of Batman’s enemies, even though they’re all under the microscope for killing his father. Gotham’s most wanted must clear their names in a city bereft of The Caped Crusader. Thus, the “Gotham Knights” are born — a merry band of mismatched and unlikely heroes.

Besides Batwoman, Abrams’s writing credits include Supergirl and All American. She was an entertainment journalist before bursting onto the TV scene. Fiveash and Stoteraux worked together as producers on GothamThe Vampire Diaries and Switched at Birth

Abrams shared her excitement on Twitter with a photo of a Post-it note saying “Gotham Knights.” “It started with a Post-it note on my computer that I’ve looked at pretty much every day for the last two years. And now it’s something. And I could not be more excited,” she wrote in a tweet.

Of course, casting and other details for the show are under wraps.
